I visited this showroom last spring at High Point and haven't had a chance to post these pictures. This showroom has repurposed several everyday materials into really interesting items. I love the crayon art for a children's room. The corset chandy might work in a powder bath. The other items are a bit of a stretch. So, what do you think?
crayon art (very clever)
crayon art close up
corset chandy
petticoat floor lamp
cotton ball chandy (this has the show Design Star written all over it)
clothes pin chandy (maybe in a laundry room?)
petticoat chandy (not my kind of funky)
I told you it was interesting. I'm kind of diggin the corset chandy and petticoat floor lamp. Either might be fun in a woman's closet/dressing room… or a drag queens ( I'm not judging just saying). It is very Moulin Rouge. I think the crayon art is quite brilliant. Can you think of way you'd use any of these?

Love the crayon art! I’d put it in a playroom.
Great idea Susan.
Not sure this would work in my house. But definitely see working in a younger urban loft environment. Also really like the crayon implementation. Reuse is always good!
The crayon art is a novel idea and great for a children’s room. I really like the clothespin one since it adds a lot of texture to a room. I can see that in a loft style place or in a “green” type room with a lot of natural elements. I am not as excited about the rest of them, a little more shabby and not too chic, kind of like Design Star gone bad. Thanks for sharing them.
I remember this showroom. It was funky stuff. The crayon art is fun and the corset is cool. The other stuff, not so much. I think the clothes pin chandy would be better if the pins really worked and one could hang personal things off of it ~ e.g. photos, concert ticket stubs, men’s underwear (I thought I would throw that in for interest).
These are fun–love the Crayon art! And you’re so right about that cotton ball chandy having “Design Star” written all over it. Ha.
The Preston Hotel in Nashville had some crayon art on display when we were there in April, it was pretty cool 🙂
The only one I remember was a womans bust made out of pink crayons, for Breast Cancer awareness. It was striking to say the least.
