Gates Canopy Bed

This bed was designed in collaboration with Erin Gates, NY Times bestselling author, editor of the popular blog, Elements of Style and published interior designer. Erin was looking for a bed for her own home and really couldn’t find the exact details she was looking for. She wanted a canopy bed with simple lines that had heft, specific scale and an upholstered headboard. Since we have the best tufter in the country, I talked her into the diamond tufting. That created a juxtaposition of femininity to an otherwise masculine piece. The end result is stunning. We have it shown in Erin’s custom cerused finish and a dark walnut finish. As with all of our items, you can do any finish and any fabric. This bed can be dressed up or down according to the space.

Grayton Canopy Bed

With the popularity of the Gates bed as inspiration, we were asked to make a more beachy casual and economic canopy bed. We eliminated the tufting and added some additional washed finishes to accommodate our growing coastal design community. Although changing the finish and fabric on this designer canopy bed could easily makes this design fit in the city, the mountains, lake or suburbs.
